Our Year 3,4 Strictly team competed at the Deco Theatre in Northampton on Saturday March 23rd. They worked so hard to perfect two really tricky dances and they performed brilliantly on the day. Thank you to them all for being such wonderful Strictly Stars!
Congratulations to our Year 3,4 gymnastics team who travelled to Daventry Phoenix Sports Academy on Monday March 18th. They competed against 12 other school teams in 3 disciplines; floor, body management and vault. The children practised their routines both at home and in school with Mrs Barber and every member of the team performed brilliantly on the day. As the final scores were announced, we were very excited to find that we had finished in 1st place! The children will now go on to represent the district at the finals in June. A special mention goes to Thomas for achieving the highest combined score of the afternoon. Huge thanks to Mrs Barber for giving up so much of her time to coach and support the children.
Four children from Years 5 and 6 travelled to Phoenix Gym Club in Daventry yesterday to take part in a gymnastics competition. Well done gymnasts; excellent team work!
On Tuesday March 5th, we travelled to Daventry to take part in a Year 5,6 swimming gala. It was such an exciting event and we were definitely the loudest cheerers of the day! The children took part in both individual and relay races and they were amazing! At the end of the gala, the results were announced and we finished in 9th place. With 17 schools taking part, that was a great achievement. Well done to all our swimmers.

On Saturday December 1st, our Year 5,6 Strictly team danced at the Derngate Theatre in Northampton in the Dancing Schools UK competition. The children had worked so hard to learn their Tango and Jive routines and they performed brilliantly. There were 3 judges on the panel. Scores were very close at the top of the leader board and Overstone came 4th, half a mark behind the 3rd placed school! The children loved the experience of dancing on the big stage and they should all be really proud of themselves. We look forward to the regional finals on Sunday July 21st
On Wednesday, October 11th, some of our children took part in a Tag Rugby Festival at Daventry Rugby Club. 14 schools took part and the children played 8 games of rugby. They showed some great team work and some excellent rugby skills and came 7th overall which was excellent. Well done to all who took part.
7 of our Class 3 boys played in a football tournament at Moulton School on Wednesday evening. 8 schools took part and I was so proud of our team as they played brilliantly. They won all of their pool matches and their semi final without even conceding a goal! They then qualified for the final against Moulton's A team. They played a great game but were just beaten by 3 goals to 1. Congratulations to the boys and thank you to the parents for being a brilliant group of supporters! It was a wonderful evening for Overstone and I was extremely proud!
