This morning we had a workshop from the Life Education Bus. It was all about how to keep our bodies healthy.
We learnt that our bodies need 5 things to keep them healthy: sleep, water, healthy foods, exercise and oxygen. Harold then taught us about the different types of healthy foods. He told us about different food groups like dairy which gives us strong bones and teeth, proteins which give us strong muscles, vegetables and fruit which keep us healthy and carbohydrates which give us energy.
Harold was really impressed with our knowledge and let us stroke him on our way back to lunch. As we left the bus, he set us a challenge to see how many of the healthy food groups we could see in our lunch.
