Our Rock Steady musicians performed their first concert today and they were amazing! The audience consisted of parents and relatives, children and staff and we were all blown away by the standard every band has reached in the short time that they have been playing together. Great talent and excellent team work!
Oliver from West End In Schools taught each year group a dance retelling the story of 'Where the Wild Things Are'. They practised their dance in workshops throughout the day and then performed it in front of the whole school. The children enjoyed themselves and all the staff were impressed with their performances! We enjoyed sharing our favourite books with each other. Our year 5 and 6 librarians opened up the library, at lunchtime, to all the children for World Book Day activities such as; sharing new books (bought for the library), where's wally game, a bear hunt, making bookmarks and book covers and finally the librarians read to children in Key Stage 1. I'm sure you can see, it was a HUGE success!! |
