On the 8th of November, Class 4 welcomed a visitor to their classroom as part of their WWII topic. Tegan's Great Gran came in to talk to the class, as she had experienced being part of the war first hand. She shared facts and told Year 5 and 6 about her life during this time and how she had felt. This included how she had to take shelter at night from the bombing, the work she did in the factories as the men had gone to war and what a weekly ration had looked like. At the end the children had learnt many things and had really enjoyed listening to her experiences. They also had a lot of questions to ask her!

The things that Tegan's great gran said were very interesting and my favourite thing she told us about was the rations (I don't know how she survived with two ounces of cheese!).
