Chinese Banquet

21/6/2017

Today we had a Chinese banquet at school. We all tried sweet and sour chicken wontons, vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice and prawn crackers. For dessert we had fortune cookies! We were very impressed that they all tried to eat their food with chopsticks, well done!

We're going on a Dragon hunt at Everdon Wood.

What a beautiful day. We're not scared... We had a fantastic time at Everdon wood. First, we looked in lots holes in the ground and in the tree trunks. We found dragon prints. Next, we found a nest with eggshells in. We also found a claw, bones and some burnt wood (possibly from the fire breathing dragon). We enjoyed taking turns wearing the dragon hat which helped us to be brave when looking for the dragon. We then built mini dens/nests for the baby dragons and enjoyed walking along the fallen tree (knocked over by the dragon). We played some dragon music and then we looked over the hill and up a big tree. We found the dragon hiding under a blanket. Finally, we drew dragon pictures in the mud with a stick and made a magic potion so the dragon pictures would come to life at night time.
